About Pine Forest Country Club

Pine Forest Country Club, established in 1945, has a rich history rooted in tradition, growth, and a commitment to excellence. Originally located along North Shepherd Boulevard on 144 acres of towering pine trees, the club’s first golf course was designed during World War II by renowned architect John Bredemus. The course quickly gained recognition, hosting the University of Houston’s All-American Intercollegiate team for 15 years and serving as the site of the 1949 Houston Open, won by Johnny Palmer.

In 1975, Pine Forest relocated to its current home at 18000 Clay Road in West Houston to better serve its growing membership. The new 27-hole golf facility, designed by Jay Riviere and later expanded by Carlton Gipson, reflects the club’s continued investment in premier amenities and thoughtful design. Today, Pine Forest spans over 200 acres and remains a cornerstone of the Memorial-area community.

Pine Forest Country Club has evolved into a full-service, family-oriented club offering an exceptional range of amenities for its approximately 800 members. In addition to its championship golf courses, the club features a vibrant racquets program that continues to grow in both participation and prominence.

The club is a true haven for racquets enthusiasts, offering two indoor and five outdoor tennis courts, along with five dedicated outdoor pickleball courts. Complementing the racquets facilities are a fitness center, resort-style pool, multiple dining venues, and an elegant ballroom for social and private events.

Pine Forest is committed to fostering an active, welcoming, and engaging environment for members of all ages and skill levels. The next Director of Racquets will have the opportunity to build upon a strong foundation, elevate programming, and lead a dynamic and expanding racquets community.
