About Nyack Field Club

Nyack Field Club is one of Rockland County’s premier racquet sports destinations, offering active programs in tennis and platform tennis for adults and juniors.

Under the leadership of Director of Racquet Sports, Mickey Brzov, the club operates one of the largest and most successful adult league programs in the area, runs annual tournaments, social events, and provides a high-quality, member-focused racquet sport experience.

We are seeking an energetic, professional, and highly skilled Assistant Racquets Professional to join our team.The ideal candidate is organized, member-first oriented, capable of contributing to a dynamic program, and passionate about teaching.

Key Responsibilities

On-Court Teaching (Tennis, Platform Tennis & Pickleball)

• Provide high-quality private lessons, semi-privates, clinics, and group programs to adults and juniors.

• Assist with the club’s extensive adult In-House & Bergen County leagues.

• Work with junior players of all ages and levels, including camp programs and competitive pathway athletes.

• Maintain a professional, positive, and energetic environment on and off the court.

Program, Event & League Support

• Assist in the organization, promotion, and execution of club tournaments (tennis, platform tennis & pickleball), racquet socials, and special events.

• Support the Director of Racquet Sports for our adult teams, junior tennis spring, summer and fall programs and all of the club’s annual tournaments.

• Help develop new programming to enhance member engagement and participation.

Membership Service

• Deliver the highest level of customer service with a friendly, welcoming, and member-first approach.

• Communicate effectively with members regarding scheduling, programming, and club events.

• Represent the club in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Operational Responsibilities

• Assist with daily court setup, breakdown, grooming, and equipment organization.

• Ensure that club rules, including dress code and court etiquette, are followed.

• Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all teaching and administrative duties.

• Support pro shop services such as racquet stringing and equipment recommendations, apparel/gear discussions, and member inquiries (in coordination with the club’s retail operations).

Qualifications Required

• Strong tennis and platform tennis playing background

• Prior coaching and/or teaching experience at a club, college, academy, or equivalent facility.

• Strong communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic teaching personality.

• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Preferred

• USPTA or PTR certification.

• Experience coaching tennis, platform tennis and pickleball.

• Tournament/event organizing experience.

• Able to contribute ideas to enhance programming, camps, clinics, and member engagement.
