Tennis Professional

Palos Verdes Tennis Club (PVTC) is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Full-Time Tennis Professional to join our team.

The ideal candidate is a strong tennis professional who enjoys working with both adults and juniors and wants to be part of a growing tennis program at a premier club.

Responsibilities

• Teach private lessons, adult clinics, and junior programs
• Work with players of all ages and skill levels
• Help grow our Junior Academy and adult tennis programs
• Participate in tournaments, camps, Junior Team Tennis (JTT), and other club events
• Build relationships with members and provide an exceptional tennis experience
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Tennis and coaching staff
• Develop and maintain a strong private-lesson clientele

Qualifications

• Strong playing and coaching background
• Experience teaching both adults and juniors
• Tennis teaching certification preferred, including USPTA, RSPA, PTR, USTA, or similar
• Candidates without a teaching certification may be considered but will be required to obtain an approved certification before teaching private lessons
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, energetic, and team-oriented personality
• Ability to build and maintain a strong client base

Compensation

• Club Clinics & Junior Groups: $35–$50/hour depending on experience and qualifications
• Private Lessons: $70–$90/hour depending on experience and qualifications

Sample Schedule

Monday–Friday

• 11:00 AM–3:30 PM — Private Lessons
• 3:30–6:00 PM — Junior Programs
• 6:00–7:30 PM — Adult Liveball or Junior High Performance
• 7:30–9:00 PM — Private Lessons

Saturday

• 11:00 AM–2:00 PM — Private Lessons
• 2:00–6:30 PM — Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Practice

Sunday

• Primarily Private Lessons
• JTT Matches as needed

Schedule may vary based on club programming, private lesson demand, and seasonal needs. This is a guide of our programing, you will be required to take a minimum of 1 day off.
