The Heights Racquet & Social Club is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial Padel Pro / Program Director to lead our Padel program and oversee programming across our Padel, Squash, and Pickleball facilities.
The Heights Racquet & Social Club was the first club in Minnesota to install padel courts and remains the premier destination in Minnesota for this fast-growing sport. This is a unique opportunity to help introduce Padel to new players, build a thriving local community, and establish Minnesota as a destination for Padel enthusiasts.
In addition to leading the Padel program, this individual will serve as Program Director for the Club's racquet sports offerings, developing and executing engaging programming that brings members together through leagues, lessons, tournaments, organized play, and social events.
Key Responsibilities
Padel Program Development
- Lead the growth and development of the Club's Padel program, attracting new players and increasing participation among members and the broader community.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive calendar of Padel programming, including leagues, clinics, private and group lessons, tournaments, round robins, social events, and organized member play.
- Introduce new players to Padel through beginner programming, introductory clinics, and other initiatives that make the sport accessible and welcoming, including introductory clinics and “Intro to Padel” sessions for new players
- Establish relationships with regional and national Padel organizations, coaches, tournament organizers, and other clubs to expand opportunities for competition and collaboration.
Racquet Sports Program Director
- Serve as Program Director for the Club's Padel, Squash, and Pickleball programs.
- Build strong relationships with members and Pay-To-Play guests and provide a welcoming, engaging experience for new and existing players.
- Develop and execute a coordinated calendar of leagues, lessons, tournaments, clinics, and member-to-member play across all three sports.
- Create opportunities for players of different ages, abilities, and experience levels to participate, improve their skills, and connect with other members.
- Develop creative programming and special events that strengthen the Club's social atmosphere and encourage greater member participation.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Padel and enthusiasm for growing the sport.
- Demonstrated experience teaching, coaching, organizing, or managing racquet sports programming.
- Experience developing and managing leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, and organized play.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to develop new programs, attract participants, and build community.
- Ability to work a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, including some evenings as programming requires.
- Experience with squash and/or pickleball is a plus. The ability to collaborate across multiple racquet sports is essential.
Padel coaching certifications and experience in program management are desirable. We welcome candidates whose combination of racquet sports experience, leadership ability, and passion for padel makes them an excellent fit.
The Heights Racquet and Social Club is a health and social club in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, conveniently located just minutes from both Minneapolis and St. Paul.
