BASE PAY: $20 PER HOUR + COMMISSION / LESSONS
DUTIES:
· Instructs tennis programs at all levels and ages in a professional manner.
· In coordination with the Director of Tennis and other Reynolds Departments help promote existing and new concepts for programming and events through communication, promotion, and execution of these events.
· In coordination with Director of Tennis participate in meetings for the Tennis Department and prepare agendas and follow-up reports as needed.
· Provide content on the Reynolds Tennis Facebook Page, member newsletters, bulletin boards and moments on tennis events, functions, schedules, programming, neighboring tournaments, league play and calendar of events.
· Help restring rackets as needed and keep the stringer in top working order.
· Expected to attend seminars and workshops for continued professional development and USPTA/PTR certification.
· When asked help maintain or in the absence of the Director of Tennis take responsibility for all playing surfaces, building and other items at all facilities.
· Be able to maintain an up to date schedule book for private and group lessons, charge and collect fees, produce an accurate invoice sheet to the Director of Tennis at the end of each payroll, be accountable for hours worked and off through the time clock, execute all policies, rules and regulations of the facility.
· In coordination with the Director of Tennis help oversee court reservations for programming, events, members, Ritz and scheduled lessons to ensure equitable and amenable allocation of court usage.
· Be knowledgeable about the tennis merchandise the pro shop has to offer to help the members make a responsible fair decision when making purchases.
· Be a team player to provide a healthy unified team atmosphere for all staff to thrive.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Three to five years working as a professional.
· Current certification through professional association RSPA, or PTR.
· Thorough knowledge of tennis concepts and background in teaching tennis.
· Thorough knowledge of tournaments, leagues and demonstrations.
· Must have good social skills, be able to work effectively with adults and children, a good mixer and leadership capabilities, communicate well, ability to write and create reports.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Personal vehicle for property transportation.
· Basic computer skills.
· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, lift and stand for the majority of the workday.
· Must have a flexible schedule for time, days off and vacations.
