Hillcrest Country Club is Seeking an Awesome Director of Racquets!
Hillcrest Country Club is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Director of Racquets to lead our dynamic tennis and pickleball programs. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and professionalism to our racquet’s community—delivering exceptional member experiences on and off the court.
Hillcrest features 4 outdoor tennis courts, 3 indoor tennis courts, 4 outdoor pickleball courts, and a fully stocked Tennis Pro Shop. The Director of Racquets will oversee all aspects of tennis and pickleball operations, including lessons, clinics, member programming, merchandising, and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and supervise all tennis and pickleball programs while training and mentoring assistant staff in a positive, service-oriented manner.
- Deliver high-quality lessons, clinics, and programs for all ages and skill levels.
- Creatively develop and promote new programs, events, and activities to enhance member engagement.
- Oversee merchandising, racquet stringing, customizing, and sales within the Tennis Pro Shop.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing for lessons, clinics, and programs.
- Maintain courteous, professional relationships with members and guests, providing exceptional service and communication.
- Create, market, and execute innovative events for tennis and pickleball.
- Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures, facility cleanliness, and court maintenance.
- Assist members with policies, rules, regulations, and billing concerns.
Qualifications
- A true team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coach and motivate players of all ages and abilities.
- Strong playing ability (4.0+ level preferred).
- USPTA and/or USPTR certification a plus.
- Pickleball knowledge and teaching experience required.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience - Salary Range does not include Lesson, Clinic Income - historically this position generates over $100,000 + annually.
- 100% of lesson income retained
