Racquets Professional – Atlanta Country Club Marietta, GA

Atlanta Country Club, a prestigious and private club located in Marietta, Georgia, is seeking a full-time Tennis Professional to join our team. With 4 clay courts, 4 hard courts, and 8 pickleball courts, we offer exceptional facilities to our 450-owned community. This role reports directly to the Director of Racquet Sports.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with a passion for delivering high standards of service, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative and team-oriented work environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in all aspects of our tennis operations, with a particular focus on growing and enhancing our junior programs.

Position Summary

The Tennis Professional will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional tennis instruction and fostering a positive and engaging environment for players of all ages and skill levels. This position involves teaching tennis lessons, organizing tennis programs and events, and promoting a love for the sport.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Lead and expand our Junior Tennis Program, with a focus on grassroots development.
• Foster a love of tennis among juniors by providing creative, engaging programming.
• Address inquiries, concerns, and feedback from both students and parents in a professional manner.
• Plan, organize, and execute junior events and programs to enhance engagement and participation.
• Teach clinics and private lessons to players of all ages and skill levels.
• Assist with adult group lessons and team practices, including tennis and pickleball events.
• Observe league matches and provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve.
• Contributes to the maintenance and upkeep of tennis and pickleball courts and related facilities.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through education and certifications to stay at the forefront of coaching techniques.
• Report to work on time, in neat and clean uniform. Present professional in adherence with the club’s grooming standards.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in Sports Science or related field preferred.)
• The ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• CPR and first aid certification (preferred)
• Must be able to work flexible and sometimes extended hours including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• RSPA or PTR certification (preferred.)
• A playing level of 4.5 or higher, or collegiate varsity tennis experience is preferred.
• Passion for working with juniors and contributing to their development.
• Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to creating a positive, inclusive environment.

Compensation

The compensation package will include a competitive compensation package that includes salary, clinic rates, percentage of private, group lessons, junior clinic revenue. Atlanta Country Club offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision.
