Applecross Country Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head Tennis Instructor to lead our tennis programming and inspire players of all ages and skill levels. In the role, you will be the sole tennis professional conducting coaching sessions, developing training plans, and fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment of the game. Your leadership will ensure that participants receive expert guidance while having fun and building confidence on the court. ** This is a 1099 independent contractor position **

Duties

• Lead and organize tennis coaching sessions for individuals and groups across various age ranges and skill levels
• Design comprehensive training programs that focus on technique, strategy, & fitness
• Monitor player progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor instruction to meet individual needs
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
• Conduct behavior management to foster respect, teamwork, and positive attitudes among players
• Support the development of junior players through mentorship, skill-building activities, and competitive opportunities
• Assist in all marketing and growth of the tennis program
• Incident reporting and provide first aid if needed.

Experience

• Proven tennis instruction experience. Former competitive tennis player & knowledge and capability to instruct other racquet sports, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse ages and skill levels in a teaching or coaching capacity
• USTA, USPTA, and/or PTR certification required
