Reporting to the General Manager, and working in partnership with the Racquets and Wellness Committees, the Director of Racquets and Wellness guides all daily operations for the club’s racquets program, consistently cultivating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for members of every age and ability. The Director leads and supports a talented team of professionals, anticipates member needs, directs all lessons, clinics, tournaments, and events, and coordinates member engagement across every touchpoint. Collaborating closely with club leadership, the Director strives to continually enhance and elevate the overall racquets experience for the Chartwell members.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional who combines a passion for racquet sports and people with proven leadership skills, sound business judgment, and exceptional interpersonal awareness. The Director will bring energy, creativity, and a genuine member-first approach, this individual will uphold the Club’s tradition of excellence, while fostering a spirited, inclusive, and connected leadership to the racquets and wellness community.

The club’s amenities extend to an Aquatic Center with Olympic sized swimming pool and kiddie pool, Tennis & Wellness Center showcasing seven Har-Tru tennis courts, hard-surfaced pickleball court, strength training and cardio center, and group fitness class room, Golf Shop with sixty electric Club Car golf carts, tournament staging area, fully stocked golf shop with hard and soft goods, Clubhouse with two member dining rooms, Ballroom, and three additional smaller party/meeting rooms, and a Greens Maintenance Building.

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for the leadership and oversight of racquet sports and wellness center activities for a premiere private club membership of 730 families. Duties include day-to-day operations including hiring, training, scheduling, programming, and equipment and court maintenance. Must be a visible and approachable leader with the ability to uphold standards while building staff culture and the member experience.
Direct Reports include: Assistant Director of Racquets, Racquets Professionals, and Fitness Professional. Seasonal staff includes teaching professionals, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors. Hourly support staff are budgeted for both racquets and wellness to assist in facility and court coverage.
