Nestled in the charming coastal community of Weekapaug, Rhode Island, the Weekapaug Tennis Club is a beloved private club serving over 250 member players each summer. We're a warm, close-knit community with a shared love of the game — welcoming everyone from first-time beginners to competitive players, always with a fun and friendly spirit. Our program is growing, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.

The Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic and talented Assistant Tennis Professional to join our team for the summer season (June 3rd - August 16). You'll play a central role in shaping the club experience — particularly for our kids — while supporting programming across all ages and skill levels.

Core responsibilities include:

• Leading and expanding our junior program, inspiring a love of the game in our youngest members
• Assisting with group clinics for players of all ages and abilities
• Providing private lessons to members
• Contributing to fitness programming (a welcome plus!)
• Bringing energy, creativity, and genuine care to everything you do on and off the court

Who You Are

You're the kind of pro who lights up a court — equally at ease rallying with a 7-year-old beginner as you are drilling with a competitive adult. You bring high energy, a warm personality, and the natural ability to connect with people of all ages.

• 4+ years of relevant teaching or coaching experience
• A professional certification (USPTA, PTR, or equivalent) is a plus — we're open to discussing
• Enthusiasm for pickleball is a bonus, as interest among our members continues to grow
• A genuine love of community and the summer tennis experience

Compensation

This is a salaried seasonal position with commission on lessons. Specific details will be discussed with qualified candidates.  Housing will be provided.
