Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Tennis Professional to join our racquet sports team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality tennis instruction and supporting the growth of our junior and adult programming. The ideal candidate brings a strong playing background, experience in both tennis and pickleball, and a passion for creating a positive and engaging environment for players of all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver private, semi-private, and group tennis lessons for juniors and adults
- Assist in the development and execution of junior tennis programs, clinics, and camps
- Support and participate in tennis and pickleball events, mixers, and tournaments
- Provide instruction on proper technique, strategy, and court etiquette
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for members and guests
- Contribute ideas to enhance programming and increase participation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of courts, equipment, and pro shop areas
- Communicate effectively with members, guests, and team members
- Assist with racquet services such as stringing and grip replacement (preferred)
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with staff to support overall club goals
Qualifications
- College degree in Sports & Recreation or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Competitive playing background (college experience or NTRP 4.0+ equivalent preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a club or resort setting
- Experience teaching pickleball is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage groups, events, and programming effectively
- Current or willingness to obtain USTA Safe Play certification
- Maintain or pursue professional certification (USPTA or PTR preferred)
