The Wanderers Club is a casual, multi-generational private golf and country club in the heart of the
equestrian community of Wellington, Florida. The Club’s full array of amenities and services are
centered around families, sports and the equestrian lifestyle found only in Wellington. We serve
a vibrant community of more than 600 Member families in areas ranging from golf, racquet, and
swimming to childcare, events, and dining.
OVERVIEW
The Head Pickleball Professional is responsible for leading and growing an engaging and high-quality pickleball
program. This role includes on-court instruction, program development, team leadership, and event coordination,
all aimed at enhancing Member satisfaction and participation. Reporting to the Director of Racquet Sports, the
Head Pickleball Professional plays a vital role in expanding the Club’s racquet sports offerings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage a year-round pickleball program, including clinics, round robins, leagues, social events,
and competitive team play.
• Provide private, semi-private, and group instruction to players of all ages and skill levels.
• Maintain a consistent presence on the courts to foster a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment.
• Lead and mentor a team of pickleball professionals and support staff to ensure top-tier instruction and service.
• Oversee court scheduling, usage, and event logistics in collaboration with the Director of Racquet Sports.
• Assist in drafting communications to promote pickleball programming through newsletters, flyers, and email
campaigns.
• Ensure courts are clean, safe, and prepared for daily play and special events.
• Support Pro Shop operations as needed, including merchandise sales and inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience as a Pickleball Professional or coach, ideally in a private club or resort setting.
• Certification from a recognized pickleball organization (e.g., PPR, RSPA) preferred.
• Strong leadership, teaching, and communication skills.
• Energetic, professional, and passionate about growing the game of pickleball.
• Proven ability to manage multiple programs and events simultaneously.
• Physically able to demonstrate and teach all core pickleball techniques.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Compensation is salary plus commission. Open to negotiation based on applicant experience.
