Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and kid-focused Tennis Instructor to lead our junior recreational programs for ages 4–12. The role is primarily focused on group lessons, with opportunities for private and semi-private lessons based on demand.
The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, professional, and comfortable working with young players at beginner to intermediate levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Luna’s established junior development curriculum, ensuring consistency and high-quality instruction.
- Lead group sessions for youth ages 4–12 (Red, Orange, Green Ball pathways).
- Provide regular feedback to players, parents, and club management.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all participants.
- Set up and take down equipment, organize teaching tools, and prepare courts before each session.
- Assist with skill assessments, program progression, and player placement.
- Represent Luna’s values of professionalism, growth, and exceptional member experience.
Qualifications
- Prior experience coaching children (tennis or general youth sport instruction).
- Tennis coaching certification preferred (USTA, USPTA, PTR, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, especially with young athletes and parents.
- Ability to follow curriculum guidelines and uphold Luna’s coaching standards.
- Must be energetic, patient, dependable, and committed to player development.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
Compensation
- Hourly rate based on certification level and coaching experience.
- Additional earning opportunities through private and semi-private lessons.
