Eagle Brook Country Club is looking for a dedicated racquet professional, with experience, to manage the day-to-day operations of their newly renovated tennis and pickleball courts. The renovation was completed in September 2025 and there are 6 dedicated pickleball courts and 2 tennis courts. The club is looking for a professional that can create and manage programs for pickleball and tennis. Programs should include, but not limited to; private instruction, group clinics, junior programs, and competitive teams for pickleball.
Eagle Brook has over 500 members and is thirsty for an active racquet program. The racquet professional position is season from Mid-March through Mid-October.
The Racquet Professional will be the only instructor on property and will retain 80% of all instruction revenue paid out biweekly in addition to their hourly wage.
SUMMARY
Provides racquet lessons. Explains and demonstrates principles, techniques and methods of regulating movement of body, hands and feet to achieve proficiency in racquet. Observes students during practice to detect and correct mistakes.
Essential Functions:
1. Develops quality racquet instruction to market to individuals and groups.
2. Provides racquet lessons to groups.
3. Performs on-on-one private training sessions.
4. Coordinates lessons with racquet professional, pro shop, and other departments.
5. Conducts lessons and clinics.
6. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of fitness equipment and facility.
7. Ensures a pleasant visit for each guest; maintains effective guest relations.
8. Performs special projects delegated by management.
9. Stays updated on latest developments pertinent to the department as well as the location.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Strong playing background required and 2 years of teaching experience required. Current required local and/or state professional certification and/or license; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); proven instructor skills; and demonstrated outstanding customer service. Must possess willingness to learn and perform new tennis programs, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation. Flexibility with schedule with evenings and weekend work required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Construction began once asphalt production resumed in mid-May, with Power Court, a highly regarded contractor based in West Chicago, leading the project. Known for their professionalism and outstanding reputation, Power Court was selected based on strong testimonials and proven expertise. The project was completed in September 2025.
The Swim, Tennis, and Youth Committee, under the direction of the Board of Advisors, is currently developing inclusive programming for all ages and skill levels. Once finalized, the committee will present the plan at an informational meeting open to all members.
