Position Summary:
The Racquets Pro Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pro shop and supporting all racquets programming, while also ensuring the proper maintenance and playability of clay courts. This role combines retail management, customer service, administrative coordination, and hands-on court upkeep to deliver an exceptional player experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily clay court maintenance including brushing, lining, and watering
- Monitor court conditions to ensure safe and high-quality play
- Repair minor court damage (low spots, worn baselines, etc.)
- Maintain nets, posts, windscreens, fences, and court accessories
- Monitor and adjust court drainage systems to prevent water accumulation
- Maintain surrounding grounds, including landscaping, walkways, and spectator areas
- Operate and maintain maintenance equipment such as rollers, blowers, and line sweepers
- Ensure proper application of court materials (e.g., repair after major rain storms or as needed due to normal erosion)
Program Support
- Assist racquets professionals with clinics, tournaments, and events
- Help organize leagues, ladders, and social play opportunities
- Assist Racquets professionals with organization of Junior and Adult leagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, pro shop, or racquets facility operations preferred
- Knowledge of tennis/racquet sports equipment and play preferred
- Experience with clay court maintenance strongly preferred (or willingness to learn)
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, scheduling software, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform outdoor manual labor (court maintenance) in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs
- Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movement throughout the day
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00-$24.00 per hour.
