Racquet Sports Professional Position (Full-Time)

CVRC is excited to announce an opportunity for a Full-Time Racquet Sports Professional. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality-driven environment and be passionate about delivering exceptional service while creating a positive member experience.
Position Summary
Responsibilities include teaching tennis through junior and adult clinics, private lessons, special events, and other club programming. Opportunities may also exist to teach pickleball and platform tennis within the broader racquet sports program, as well as additional earning opportunities through racquet stringing services for qualified candidates.
Qualifications
• RSPA (USPTA) and/or PTR certification preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of daily coaching and instruction, including extended periods of standing, playing, teaching, and walking on potentially uneven or slippery surfaces.

Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, and teach private, semi-private, and group instruction programs.
• Promote club programs and activities by encouraging member participation and engagement.
• Create a safe, positive, and enjoyable learning environment for players of all ages and skill levels from educational, recreational, and social perspectives.
• Teach proper stroke mechanics, strategy, and sportsmanship.
• Assist the Director of Racquet Sports with club operations and daily functions while contributing positively to the club culture and overall member experience.
• Maintain accurate records related to work schedules, programming, and lesson activity, and prepare reports as requested.
• Participate in tennis functions, socials, tournaments, and special events as directed.
• Inspect courts and equipment to ensure safe playing conditions and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Administer and enforce club policies and procedures related to racquet sports operations.
• Review lesson schedules and confirm the accuracy of hours worked.
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Racquet Sports regarding programming concerns, member feedback, and ideas for improvement.
• Foster an inclusive environment by recognizing different learning styles and adapting teaching methods to individual participants.
• Assist with general facility upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repairs as needed.
Compensation, Lesson Structure & Benefits
• Competitive base salary plus commission structure, including guaranteed compensation and highly competitive lesson and clinic earning opportunities.
• On-Court Lesson Percentage: Professionals will earn a percentage of private and semi-private lesson revenue based on experience and certification level.

Members enjoy year-round play on our 9 indoor climate-controlled hard courts. During the summer season, the club expands to include 8 professionally maintained Har-Tru clay tennis courts, 1 outdoor hard court, and 2 dedicated outdoor pickleball courts. CVRC also has 2 platform courts for the winter season.
