The Winter Club is seeking an energetic, engaging, and service-oriented Assistant Racquet Sports Professional to support the growth and daily operation of our Paddle, Pickleball, and Tennis programs. This leadership position works directly under the Director of Racquets and plays a vital role in creating exceptional experiences for members of all ages and skill levels.

Position Summary
The Assistant Racquet Sports Professional will assist in the planning, promotion, instruction, and execution of all tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball programming. This position has a particular emphasis on platform tennis. This professional will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering member engagement, supporting club events, and helping create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation, competition, and lifelong enjoyment of racquet sports. The position comes with a $30,000 base salary, hourly on-court rate of $35-$42/hour and up to 70% of private and semi-private lessons.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience
- Deliver exceptional service and hospitality to members and guests.
- Build strong relationships with adults, juniors, and families.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all abilities.
- Promote member participation and retention through consistent engagement.
Instruction & Programming
- Teach private, semi-private, and group lessons in tennis, paddle, and pickleball.
- Assist with the development and execution of adult and junior programming.
- Lead clinics, camps, leagues, social events, and instructional programs.
- Help create innovative programming that increases participation across all racquet sports.
Junior Development
- Assist in managing and growing junior tennis, paddle, and pickleball programs.
- Foster a positive learning environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, skill development, and fun.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding player development and program opportunities.
Events & Member Engagement
- Assist with tournaments, mixers, club championships, round robins, and special events.
- Support the promotion and marketing of racquet sports activities.
- Help coordinate event logistics, scheduling, and participant communication.
Facility & Operations
- Assist with court scheduling and daily operations.
- Help maintain court conditions, equipment, and teaching supplies.
- Support the Director of Racquets with administrative duties and member communications.
- Ensure all programming operates safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong playing and teaching background in tennis, platform tennis, and/or pickleball.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for working with both adults and juniors.
- Ability to build relationships and create a welcoming club culture.
- Professional, energetic, and service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred
- USPTA, PTR, PPR, RSPA, or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience working in a private club environment.
- Experience organizing leagues, tournaments, and member events.
- Knowledge of court reservation and club management software.
