Kansas City Country Club, a private member-owned club renowned for its esteemed traditions, is seeking a career-oriented racquets professional to create enduring experiences for its exclusive membership. With the opening of a new racquets facility in Summer 2025, comprising six tennis courts, four individually fenced permanent pickleball courts, and two platform tennis courts, the club is also seeking a professional with a passion for multiple racquets disciplines. The facility will feature three bubbles for the winter months, providing year-round programming.  We are looking to fill this position by the end of February 2026.

Note* Tennis is the primary function of this position. Complementary racquet sports are secondary for this role.

Position Summary

To provide high-quality private and group lessons as per the requirements of KCCC members.

Supervise the Racquets department, grounds, facility, and pro shop in the absence of the Director or Head Professional, assuming the role of “Manager on Duty.” Ensure that the operations align with the mission of the Racquets Department.

Assist in the development of events and programming to offer participation opportunities for the membership and their guests.

Position metrics

Full time: minimum 40 hours at club

Nights, weekends, Split days may be required.

On-Court hours:  Minimum 25hrs

Administrative: 8 – 15hrs

Possibility of travel: Yes

Ability to lift 20-50 pounds

Position Qualifications

2+ years Industry Experience

Bachelor’s degree (4-year college degree) preferred.

Certifications: RSPA Professional Level 2, PTR Level 1, (pickleball certification preferred) (Department will assist in all certifications)

Level of play Tennis 4.5+ NTRP preferred.

Level of play Pickleball 4.5+ DUPR preferred.

Stringing proficiency: preferred (Department will develop)

USTA Safe Play: Yes
