Assistant Racquets Professional 

Hinsdale Golf Club – Clarendon Hills, Illinois 

Hinsdale Golf Club, a premier private club with a rich tradition of excellence, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Racquet Professional to join our team. This is a year-round, full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to grow our racquet sports programs, including tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball, for members of all ages and skill levels.  The Assistant Racquet Professional will work closely with the Director of Racquet Sports to deliver outstanding programs and member experiences. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Assist in planning and delivering lessons, clinics, camps, leagues, and junior/adult programming. 

• Assist in planning, promoting, and executing racquet events, leagues, and tournaments. 

Provide high-quality private and group instruction; maintain a regular on-court coaching presence.  

• Maintain courts and ensure a safe, welcoming environment. 

• Support daily racquet operations and member engagement. 

• Supervise and mentor the professional staff to enhance team performance and service quality. 

• Maintain a high standard of professionalism and hospitality. 

• Help with inventory management for the pro shop and equipment. 

Qualifications 

• Competitive playing background in either tennis, platform tennis, or pickleball. 

• Experience in coaching tennis, preferably 2-3 years or more. 

• Platform tennis and pickleball experience a plus but not necessary. 

• Strong leadership, organizational, time management, and communication skills. 

• USPTA, PTR, or PPTA certification preferred (or international equivalent). 

• Proven ability to work well with people of all ages and abilities, demonstrating strong communication and relationship-building skills

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

• Professional certifications (USPTA, PTR, PPTA) or progress toward certification required.
